FreeWheel, a Comcast company, invites a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead the Buyercloud Ad Serving team. You will guide architecture, coordinate with Product Management, and drive scalable, low-latency bidding systems across remote locations.

You will oversee engineering practices, mentor staff, and ensure delivery within deadlines while embracing cutting-edge ad-tech and cloud-native approaches.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical leadership (preferred)
• 10+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent
• Proficient in OO languages (C++, Java, Rust, Go)
• Experience deploying and operating apps in a public cloud
• Strong SQL and monitoring with Datadog/Prometheus/Grafana/ELK

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of software engineers with clear direction and growth opportunities
• Collaborate with Product Management to deliver features to customers
• Provide guidance on architecture, design, and engineering practices
• Drive improvements to Ad Serving infrastructure and ensure timelines and budgets
• Review team work for quality and provide technical training as needed
• Stay current with trends and participate in performance metrics and onboarding
