Job summary

Comcast's FreeWheel unit seeks a Manager of Software Engineering to lead the Buyercloud Ad Serving team. The role guides engineers responsible for the backbone that processes billions of ad auctions daily and executes complex bidding strategies in milliseconds.

You will partner with Product Management to deliver new features, set architectural direction, and ensure high-quality software delivery. This position supports a collaborative, remote-friendly, multi-time-zone environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical leadership experience in a software environment.
• Proven ability to lead distributed architecture and teams across time zones.
• Experience building distributed applications in C++, Java, Rust, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of software engineers, providing direction and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product Management to deliver features for Buyercloud customers.
• Guide technical architecture, design philosophies, and engineering practices.
• Improve Ad Serving infrastructure and ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
• Review work for quality and adherence to team standards.
• Provide technical support and training for Ad Serving capabilities.
• Monitor employee performance and stay current with industry trends.
