- Provide overall management of the engineering scope of work for SOLV Energy projects
- Support engineering efforts and generate deliverables using AutoCAD, KMZ, and SOLV proprietary software
- Document engineering and permitting coordination meeting minutes and distribute action items
- Support business development pursuits and EPC bids
- Review Owner and client technical documents and synthesize requirements, risks, and assumptions
- Represent engineering during project pursuits, pricing reviews, and bid strategy discussions
- Coordinate review of EPC contract exhibits and identify engineering interfaces, issues, inconsistencies, and value engineering opportunities
- Own delivery of engineering deliverables for assigned projects and direct reports
- Manage consultant schedules and budgets, track performance, and address deviations
- Coordinate consultant review comments and track responses to closure
- Respond to Owner and Independent Engineer comments and clarifications
- Identify and track engineering changes affecting cost, schedule, or risk
- Ensure Project Managers and Field Teams understand project-specific engineering requirements
- Advocate for projects and owners to drive timely decisions and technical alignment
- Manage development of contract energy production models and align final designs with modeling assumptions and IFC drawings
- Assess consultant proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Integrate lessons learned and standards updates into QA/QC processes and workflows
- Coordinate with permitting teams, project teams, consultants, and AHJs on engineering questions and interfaces
- Support permitting due diligence with engineering input and technical documentation
- Onboard and train direct reports
- Provide guidance and feedback to team members
- Establish relationships with regional field leadership
- Set standards for internal managers and ensure departmental alignment and high-quality work
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in EPC, renewable energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Minimum 3+ years managing direct reports
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Strong working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, IBC, ASCE, NESC, NFPA, utility standards)
- Engineer-in-Training (F.E.)
- Professional Engineering License (P.E.) preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in parallel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Ability to adapt and respond quickly in a fast-paced EPC environment
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% to project sites or partner offices and work in active construction environments, with reasonable accommodation
