Job summary

Omni Louisville Hotel is seeking an engineering professional to provide technical and administrative support to the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering. The role includes assisting with preventative maintenance, procurement, and coordinating a team of engineering staff to ensure smooth operations across the hotel.

The candidate should have HVAC/mechanical experience and 3–5 years in luxury hotel engineering, with strong communication skills and flexibility for nights/weekends.

Qualifications

  • HVAC and mechanical experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • 3–5 years of luxury hotel engineering experience preferred.
  • Previous experience at a convention service hotel preferred;Experience managing a team of 5 or more associates.
  • Ability to work in the interior and exterior of the hotel as needed.
  • Professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering and assist in operational aspects of the Engineering Department.
  • Assist in full upkeep of preventative maintenance, including keeping logs, scheduling, and assigning projects.
  • Assist Engineering in procurement of supplies and issuance of purchase orders.
  • Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
  • Respond to guest requests.
  • Coordinate Engineering staff on a shift basis and supervise their activities.
  • Understand Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
  • Understand Omni's job scenarios.
  • Familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
