Job summary

Omni Louisville Hotel is seeking an Overnight Engineer Class 1 to ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment. You will schedule and complete equipment PMs, operate and maintain boiler systems, HVAC/R equipment, and support kitchen and laundry systems to keep guests comfortable.

Qualifications include at least two years of hotel or large commercial building maintenance, preferred HVAC licenses (608) and Electrical Journeyman license, and strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years hotel and/or commercial building maintenance experience.
  • 608 HVAC license is preferred.
  • Electrical Journeyman License is preferred.
  • Experience in a large full-service hotel is preferred.
  • One year of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment experience is required.
  • Experience responding to emergency situations is required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain low-pressure boiler for the hot water system.
  • Repair HVAC/R equipment.
  • Operate and maintain other vessels as needed for hot water kitchen steam and air conditioning systems.
  • Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs of hotel property and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Repair and maintain swimming pool and pool equipment.
  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Understand Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Comply with Omni Hotel rules, OSHA regulations.

Overnight Engineer Class 1
Overview

To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and complete equipment PMs.
  • Operate and maintain low-pressure boiler for the hot water system.
  • Repair HVAC/R Equipment.
  • Operate and maintain other vessels as needed for hot water kitchen steam and air conditioning systems.
  • Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs of hotel property and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Repair and maintain swimming pool and pool equipment.
  • Completion of all assigned work orders and daily tasks.
  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • Have a thorough understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
  • EPA Universal Certification is preferred.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Previous maintenance experience required, hotel experience and training preferred. A minimum of two years hotel and/or commercial building maintenance required.
  • 608 HVAC license is preferred.
  • Electrical Journeyman License is preferred.
  • Experience in a large full-service hotel is preferred.
  • One year of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment experienceis required, commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience with response to emergency situations is required.
  • Good communication, attention to detail, time management, computer and guest satisfaction skills are required.
  • The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • The ability to crawl for short periods of time.
  • The ability to bend, reach overhead, squat, kneel for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • The ability to utilize step stools and ladders.
  • They must be able to work AM, PM, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts. Schedule will vary according to business and operational needs.
