Job summary

Novolex in Malvern, Arkansas is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering and Maintenance teams, driving machine, process and facility performance while meeting cost targets. You will provide engineering support and resources to sustain plant production.

Responsibilities include ensuring preventive maintenance, identifying capital opportunities, and managing capital project submissions, staffing, and safety programs in a compliant environment.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering with 6+ years of engineering experience and at least 3 years supervisory experience.
• Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus; Six Sigma and PLC knowledge beneficial.
• Must demonstrate proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite. SAP knowledge is a plus.
• SAP, Six Sigma, and PLC skills/knowledge a benefit.
• Effective team building and demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Engineering and Maintenance to maximize machine, process, and facility performance while achieving cost targets.
• Assure plant facilities and production equipment are properly maintained through predictive and preventative maintenance.
• Identify capital opportunities and manage capital project submissions.
• Hire and manage technical and maintenance staff; completes performance management including disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate communication and implementation of manufacturing and technical initiatives.
• Manage plant budgets including technical group salaries, building and grounds, maintenance materials and utilities.
• Ensure environmental compliance and support plant safety programs.
• Oversee GMP compliance and Pest Control program; maintain quality systems requirements.
• GMP Responsibilities; Executes duties to maintain compliance with product safety/GMP, legal regulatory and quality systems requirements.
