Job summary

Action1 is seeking a Dev Manager to lead the engineering team responsible for integrations with external systems, including the Integrations Store. You will combine leadership with hands-on technical expertise to deliver secure, reliable integrations that fit our customers’ workflows.

You’ll guide architecture, establish reusable patterns, own CI/CD pipelines for integrations, and work with product management to translate needs into capabilities, while maintaining high reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineers and owning delivery of production systems.
• Strong fundamentals and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience building and operating AWS services in production.
• Hands-on API/integrations design with external systems and security.
• Understanding of distributed systems, data consistency, and failure recovery.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling for performance.
• Secure authentication/authorization for integrations and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers with mentoring and feedback.
• Own delivery outcomes within scope, with practical estimates and priorities.
• Delegate ownership to engineers and future team leads as the team grows.
• Collaborate with Product Management to define priorities and delivery plans.
• Oversee design, development, and maintenance of integrations.
• Build connectors to third-party apps and an Integrations Store.
• Handle data mapping, validation, and synchronization between systems.
• Ensure secure credential handling, monitoring, and recovery from failures.
• Establish reusable integration patterns and scalable pipelines.
• Improve reliability, performance, observability; resolve production issues.
• Coordinate with other teams and partners to manage dependencies.
• Apply AI where it improves integration development, with validation.
