Job summary

Flashpoint is seeking an Engineering Lead II to own the technical direction of Echosec, SED, and Identify. You will manage a small, senior team, collaborate with a Product Manager, and drive roadmap, architecture, and on-call discipline across a Laravel platform, a Python AI service, and a data pipeline handling sensitive data.

You will be responsible for growth of the team, cross-team alignment, and direct technical leadership in production workloads on cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineers as their direct manager, including performance conversations and promotions.
• Production experience with a mature server-side web application at scale: PHP and Laravel preferred.
• Hands-on experience running services on Kubernetes with managed Postgres and Redis in a public cloud.
• Own a quarterly commitment cycle end to end: scope work, publish dates, monitor progress.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of Echosec, SED and Identify and the integration architecture that connects them.
• Lead the Echosec platform, a mature Laravel app running on Kubernetes.
• Advance the AI layer in Python for natural-language search and reporting.
• Own the ingestion pipeline for Strategic Entity Data and ensure cost, scale and data quality.
