Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead the building's engineering systems, ensure safe operation, and manage a team.

This on-site role requires 3-5 years in repair and maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or carpentry, with Universal CFC EPA certification encouraged and a focus on safety and client communication.

Typical day includes supervising contractors, maintaining the preventive maintenance program, reporting, and staying available on-call.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct contractors and monitor performance.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of the preventive maintenance program.
• Assist in training and supervision of the engineering team.
• Maintain the CMMS work orders daily and handle tenant service requests.
• Support preparation of monthly/quarterly operations and mechanical reports.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate with clients and occupants.
