Job summary

The City University of New York's Queensborough Community College seeks a College Laboratory Technician to support Mechanical Engineering laboratories. You will set up and organize labs, assist with experiments, and ensure safe operation of equipment including CNC machinery and 3D printers.

Work with faculty to maintain documentation, calibrate and troubleshoot tools, and manage inventories while upholding safety standards and instructional quality in a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mechanical engineering lab equipment including CNC machinery.
• Ability to set up experiments, assist students, and maintain safety practices.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for design and manufacturing support.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, maintains, and organizes student laboratories.
