Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County seeks a part-time Class Description role to support digital fabrication education across Essex and Catonsville campuses. The incumbent will assist with studio safety, operate and troubleshoot 3D printers, CNC routers, vinyl and laser cutters, and help manage supplies and training materials.

Responsibilities include training students and staff in safety, maintaining equipment use logs for budgeting, and developing instructional materials for standard

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with experience in a FabLab, maker space, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to assist with and ensure safety in the studio for students.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and ensure the safety of the studio and students.
• Troubleshoot and maintain 3D printers, CNC routers, vinyl and laser cutters and software.
• Inventorying and ordering supplies and materials.
• Train students, full-time faculty, adjuncts, and staff in the mandatory safety course and other trainings.
• Assist with equipment use logs for budgeting purposes.
• Develop instructional materials that establish training standards.
• Support faculty in creating projects using digital fabrication tools.
• Fulfill internal college project requests and provide in-class instruction.
