Job summary

Goodwin University seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Lab Technician to set up, operate, and maintain CNC and quality lab equipment, and to demonstrate course lab activities for students. The role involves on-ground and off-site venues, with potential online support and teaching assistant duties during workshops and labs.

You will train students, support faculty, and uphold safety standards while coordinating with the Director of Advanced Manufacturing Labs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating and maintaining lab electronic and mechanical analytical equipment.
• Associate degree in a related technical field preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel to off-site training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lab materials for workshops.
• Operate, maintain, and make minor adjustments on the lab equipment.
• Instruct students in the proper and safe use of lab equipment.
• Maintain inventory of lab tooling and supplies.
• Set up and execute a preventative maintenance schedule for the lab equipment.
