Job summary

Procter & Gamble is offering a 12‑week Engineering Internship at the Boston Go & Tech Center for aspiring engineers. You will work across Intelligent Controls, Mechanical Design, Packaging, and MPD, collaborating with R&D and Manufacturing on projects with real impact.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering degree, graduating 2027–2029, with hands‑on interest in control concepts, sensors, PLCs, and agile collaboration. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in an Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Academic Standing: Anticipated graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2029 (rising Juniors/Seniors).
  • Project Mindset: An eagerness to contribute to projects, learn about managing timelines, and drive results in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Curiosity & Acumen: Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to approach complex issues and contribute to technical solutions. Basic understanding of control concepts, sensors, motors, PLCs.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Agility & Drive: Ability to quickly embrace and adapt to changes in project scope, schedule and cost. Proactive, self‑driven, and eager to make a tangible impact.
  • Availability: Ability to complete a 12 week internship between May and August 2027.
  • Mobility: Ability to relocate for the Summer 2027 internship and willingness to relocate throughout your career.

Responsibilities

  • Intelligent Controls & Automation (ICA): Support design, development, and implementation of control systems, robotics, Industry 4.0 technologies, and AI/ML solutions for process control.
  • Mechanical Design & Development (APS): Apply mechanical engineering mastery to develop innovative equipment. Work from modeling/analysis to hands‑on prototyping.
  • Converting & Packing Engineering: Assist in refining technologies for material conversion and high-speed packaging.
  • Manufacturing Process Development (MPD): Collaborate with R&D to scale up innovative processes, assist in material/format validation, optimize production lines, and support supplier management.
  • Instrumentation & Metrology: Support design and maintenance of precision instrumentation and metrology systems for quality control and measurement accuracy.
  • Robotics Engineering: Contribute to developing and integrating robotic solutions for manufacturing tasks.
  • Environmental & Civil Engineering: Support sustainable solutions, site infrastructure, and environmental compliance projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
