Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Wallingford, CT is seeking an Engineering Intern responsible for applying standard engineering techniques to design and update systems, assist lead engineers with project duties, and perform related tasks across market segments.

You will gain experience in Transmission & Distribution and support activities such as data collection, analysis, documentation, and presentations, with emphasis on communication and teamwork; eligibility requires pursuing a bachelor’s in Electrical,

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
