Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Wallingford, CT to assist with standard engineering design tasks, data entry, and documentation across market areas. You will help with ad hoc projects, prepare PowerPoint presentations, and support lead engineers on various duties.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and involvement in campus/community activities. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active involvement in campus/community activities and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Support responses to general questions and ad hoc requests.
• Collect and analyze data to support continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to project concerns and stakeholders.
• Research solutions and recommend improvements for project problems.
• Engage in project tasks as assigned by managers.
