Job summary

Phillips & Temro Industries in Minnesota seeks an Engineering Director who will plan, organize, and direct the engineering and project management functions under the VP Engineering and Operations. The role oversees product design, testing, validation, sets standards, drives continuous improvement, and manages budgets and staff to build a high-performing team.

A strong background in Diesel Engine Technology, extensive leadership experience, and a track record of delivering complex product

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in product development and/or project management.
• Seven years of supervisory or management experience.
• Background in Diesel Engine Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs planning and execution of annual product development plans.
• Oversees product design, testing, validation and results.
• Keeps informed on competitive products and technical advancements.
• Maintains technical relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Establishes standards, policies, processes for the engineering team.
• Manages budget and staff development for a high-performing group.
