Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks an engineer to design, alter, or modify shelter drawings and electrical systems assigned by the department manager. You will prepare detailed shelter and electrical drawings, ensuring accuracy and conformity with customer specifications and bid letters.

The role involves breaking down information from bid letters and customer drawings, performing calculations (AC service, HVAC, energy, structural), and preparing BOM work orders while drawings are in progress.

Qualifications

• Four-year Electrical Engineering degree preferred.

Job description

Responsible for the design, development, alteration, or modification of shelter drawings and Electrical systems as assigned by the department manager.Prepares a wide variety of detailed drawings for the shelter and electrical design and is responsible for their accuracy.Breaks down information obtained from the bid letter, customer specification, and customer supplied drawings to do shelter design.Makes a variety of calculations (AC service, HVAC, energy, and structural, etc.) following standard procedures.Prepare work orders (detailed BOM) while drawings are in progress.Contributes on projects of high complexity.Completes projects without supervision.Assists other designers as needed.Renders technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff or customers as needed.Possible travel as needed.Performs other assigned duties as required by management.VFP | Explore CareersFour (4) year Electrical Engineering degree preferred.4 to 7 years on the job Electrical Engineering/Designing experience.AutoCAD or RevitExcellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.Computer programs: Windows, Word, Excel, the latest release of AutoCAD, the latest release of Revit.Knowledge of algebra and geometry and mathematical formulas.Technical ability in the Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical fields.
