Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to prepare detailed drawings for shelter and electrical design, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specs. The role requires a four-year Electrical Engineering degree (preferred) with 4–7 years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, strong math skills, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Four-year Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• 4–7 years of Electrical Engineering/Designing experience.
• AutoCAD or Revit proficiency.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer programs: Windows, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Revit.
• Knowledge of algebra and geometry and mathematical formulas.
• Technical ability in the Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical fields.

Responsibilities

• Assists other designers as needed.
• Renders technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff or customers as needed.

• Performs other assigned duties as required by management.
