Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Duffield, VA is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer responsible for shelter drawings and electrical systems. You will prepare detailed drawings and perform calculations for AC, HVAC, energy and structures, contributing to complex projects and working with bid specifications.

Qualifications include a four-year Electrical Engineering degree (preferred) and 4–7 years of design experience, with AutoCAD or Revit proficiency and strong communication skills. Travel may be required.

Job Details: Job Location: Duffield - Duffield, VA 24244, Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary,

Responsible for the design, development, alteration, or modification of shelter drawings and Electrical systems as assigned by the department manager.

• Prepares a wide variety of detailed drawings for the shelter and electrical design and is responsible for their accuracy.
• Breaks down information obtained from the bid letter, customer specification, and customer supplied drawings to do shelter design.
• Makes a variety of calculations (AC service, HVAC, energy, and structural, etc.) following standard procedures.
• Prepare work orders (detailed BOM) while drawings are in progress.
• Contributes on projects of high complexity.
• Completes projects without supervision.
• Assists other designers as needed.
• Renders technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff or customers as needed.
• Possible travel as needed.
• Performs other assigned duties as required by management.

Qualifications:

• Four (4) year Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• 4 to 7 years on the job Electrical Engineering/Designing experience.
• AutoCAD or Revit
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer programs: Windows, Word, Excel, the latest release of AutoCAD, the latest release of Revit.
• Knowledge of algebra and geometry and mathematical formulas.
