Job summary

Exelon is seeking a skilled engineer to design and lay out utility infrastructure for generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecom facilities. You will perform field engineering and coordinate with internal and external customers to meet project needs, with possible extended hours during storms or emergencies.

The role requires a technical degree and relevant experience, plus proficiency in CAD and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical field or an equivalent education pathway.
• Successful completion of the Technician Occupations Selection Systems (TECH) test is required (a bachelor's in engineering exempts this).
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, layouts, drawings, and a bill of materials for complex utility infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate engineering and construction activities, including customer contact and scheduling.
• Assist with technical consultations and plan developments for customer and company systems.
• Evaluate design processes and participate on project teams for high voltage transmission and distribution.
