Job summary

Exelon is seeking a skilled engineer to design construction drawings and BOMs for complex utility infrastructure, including installation, removal, and modification across transmission, distribution, and gas lines. You will coordinate with customers and internal teams, ensuring compliance with standards and timely delivery.

The role demands proficiency in CAD, strong analytical ability, and effective communication, with potential for extended hours during storms or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field; TECH test completion (bachelor exempts TECH).
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving approaches and analytical mindset.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and computer drawing.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction drawings and material requirements for complex utility infrastructure projects under lead engineer guidance.
• Coordinate design activities and support customer contact, scheduling, and installation/removal work.
• Interpret and apply engineering standards and memos; support New Business projects to meet dates.
• Evaluate and improve design processes; participate in teams for high voltage transmission/distribution design.
