Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced engineer to develop designs, layouts, and construction drawings for electrical and utility infrastructure projects. You will perform field engineering, interpret standards, and coordinate with internal and external teams to meet customer needs and project timelines.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, CAD proficiency, and the ability to work extended hours, including storms or energy delivery emergencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field or 5–7 years of relevant experience.
Successfully completed the TECH test (engineering track; exemption if engineering bachelor).
Ability to analyze electrical and mechanical systems and interpret designs.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

Prepare designs, layouts, and construction drawings for utility infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with teams to meet customer needs and scheduling requirements.
Apply engineering standards and memos to project work and provide technical consultation.
Support safety and quality initiatives on projects and during storms or emergencies.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education

TECH test completion

Electrical/Mechanical analysis ability

Valid driver's license
