SharkNinja is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for January to June in Needham, MA. This full-time, onsite role offers hands-on prototyping across floorcare, air purification, garment care, and beauty products.

You will work with a world-class team through the full product lifecycle, from concept to validation, gaining practical experience and exposure to rapid development cycles. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration, and delivering robust, user-centric design.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in related BS/MS/PhD program or has graduated within the past year.
• Available for 40-hour work week onsite in Needham, MA.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals (thermo, fluids, design).
• Analytical mindset with detail orientation and problem-solving drive.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to concepting and development of next-gen Shark products.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Build, test, and iterate prototypes and lab rigs.
• Analyze testing data and consumer feedback to inform design decisions.
• Participate in design reviews to identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Assist with CAD modeling and technical documentation alongside engineers.
• Gain exposure to materials, manufacturing, and mass production considerations.
