Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking an on-site Engineering Change Management specialist in Fremont, CA for a 24-month engagement. The role requires ECO/ECR leadership, CAD drafting (NX preferred), and strong PLM experience with Teamcenter.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Engineering Change Management / Configuration Management.
• Hands-on CAD/drafting experience; NX preferred.
• Experience with PLM systems, particularly Teamcenter.
• Strong understanding of BOMs, ECO/ECR processes, drawings, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for engineering change control escalations.

Duration: 24 Months

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5 days onsite

Pay: $46.43/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECR) through closure.
• Manage engineering change control and configuration management activities within PLM.
• Research and validate parts, assemblies, BOMs, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, and NPI teams on change implementation.
• Track approvals, effectivities, cut-in strategies, documentation, and change progress.
• Update drawings/specifications and support model-to-drawing changes.
• Prepare reports, trackers, metrics, and documentation supporting ISO standards.
• Facilitate design/change review meetings and capture decisions, actions, and meeting minutes.

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience with Engineering Change Management / Configuration Management.
• Hands‑on experience with CAD/drafting; NX preferred.
• Experience with PLM systems, particularly Teamcenter preferred.
• Strong understanding of BOMs, ECO/ECR processes, engineering drawings, and documentation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formatting, and reporting.
• Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and meeting facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Tools: Siemens NX, Teamcenter, iPLM/SAP, SolidWorks, Creo, Enovia, Windchill, or Agile.
