Job summary

Applicantz in Fremont, CA is seeking a Documentation and Change Order specialist to manage engineering change control within PLM. The role focuses on generating and processing Change Orders, data mining, and coordinating CIP activities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include CO generation, BOM alignment with lean manufacturing, NPI support, and maintaining ISO documentation and change records with detailed minutes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and Word.
• iPLM/SAP experience preferred.
• Teamcenter and NX experience preferred.

• Performs documentation research for all parts/assemblies to be included in the Engineering Change Order to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to change control policies/procedures and design drafting standards. Makes decisions, provides recommendations, and/or escalates based on the needs of the situation
• Supports NPI PMs on a daily basis for Engineering Change Order activities
• Interfaces with Engineers and Designers on design solutions into BOMs that align with lean manufacturing requirements
• Responsible to align key collaborators to drive solutions in alignment with cut-in strategies, E&O, and effectivities
• POC for Change Control processes in Engineering
• Monitors and prioritizes tasks to ensure efficient and timely change cut-in
• Processes part numbers, bills of material, and change orders, which include preparation for change control board, review for clarity, errors, and proper approval routing, accuracy, and completeness
• Tracks documents from initiation to final approval
• Tracks and reports on document review progress
• Develops, tracks, and reports key metrics
• Generates and manages documentation in support of ISO standards, including revisions and releases
• Updates drawings from model changes
• Supports engineering and design teams on drawing and specification updates
• Facilitates design review meetings and acts as a coordinator
• Captures key decisions and action items and sends detailed meeting minutes

Job description

100% onsite 24 months role in Fremont. Monday to Friday, 40 hours/ week.

1. Drafting using Siemens NX CAD (CAD experience is a must to have skill)

Looking for a Documentation and Change Order (ECR/ECO) specialist responsible for the engineering change control process as part of PLM. Beyond generating and processing Change Orders, duties will include data mining, POC for change-related escalations, managing trackers, interdepartmental reports, and CIP activities in a high-paced environment.
