Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking an Engineering Change Specialist to join our team in Farmington, CT. The role focuses on evaluating, approving, and documenting engineering changes across cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in engineering change management, strong knowledge of BOMs and drawings, and hands-on experience with ERP/MRP and PLM systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in engineering change management or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of BOMs, drawings, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and PLM systems.
• SAP and SmartSheet experience preferred.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work across multiple departments and manage several changes simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the ECN process, workflows, governance standards, and process improvements.
• Receive, validate, prioritize, and process engineering change requests with complete documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews involving Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and more.
• Evaluate impacts of proposed changes on cost, inventory, procurement, compliance, and scheduling.
• Manage approvals and release activities ensuring reviews are completed before changes are implemented.
• Develop and execute implementation plans addressing production timing, inventory disposition, and supplier coordination.
• Support sourcing, procurement, and implementation for new/revised parts.
• Evaluate impact on production operations and material availability.
• Maintain configuration accuracy by updating BOMs, drawings, and ERP/PLM records.
• Monitor EC changes and drive post-implementation improvements.
• Develop training materials related to EC processes and product changes.
