Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Farmington, CT is seeking an Engineering Change Specialist to drive ECM across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. You will ensure changes are evaluated, approved, implemented, and documented efficiently.

The role requires strong knowledge of BOMs, drawings, and ERP/PLM systems, plus the ability to coordinate cross-functional reviews and manage multiple changes simultaneously.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in ECM/manufacturing/industrial engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of BOMs, drawings, manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and PLM systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work across departments and manage multiple changes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve ECM process, including workflows, governance, and improvements.
• Validate and process change requests with complete documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews with multiple stakeholders.
• Evaluate impacts on cost, inventory, procurement, and scheduling.
• Manage approvals and release activities before changes are implemented.
• Develop implementation plans for timing, inventory disposition, and supplier coordination.
• Support sourcing, procurement, quoting, and implementation for new/revised parts.
• Maintain configuration data: BOMs, drawings, material master data, and ERP/PLM records.
• Monitor ECM metrics and participate in post-implementation reviews.
• Develop training materials on ECM processes and implementation requirements.
