Job summary

Accounting Search in Farmington, CT is seeking an Engineering Change Specialist to coordinate and optimize engineering change processes across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain. You will manage ECN workflows, validate requests, track approvals, and develop implementation plans while ensuring accurate BOMs, drawings, and ERP/PLM records are updated.

This role requires strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills, a solid mechanical background, and experience

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in engineering change management or a related technical field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs, manufacturing processes, and change control procedures.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and PLM systems; SAP/SmartSheet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the engineering change management process and ECN workflows.
• Receive, validate, prioritize, and process change requests with complete documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Evaluate technical, quality, cost, inventory, and scheduling impacts of changes.
• Manage approval workflows and release activities to ensure timely implementation.
• Develop and execute implementation plans covering production timing and inventory disposition.
• Maintain product configuration accuracy in BOMs, drawings, and ERP/PLM data.
