Job summary

Htprof seeks an Engineering Change Specialist in Farmington, CT to oversee the ECM lifecycle from request to implementation. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other teams to ensure changes are evaluated, approved, documented, and executed efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in engineering change management or related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and PLM systems.
• SAP and SmartSheet experience preferred.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and manage several engineering changes simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve the engineering change management process, including ECN workflows and governance standards.
• Receive, validate, prioritize, and process engineering change requests with complete documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews involving Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and others.
• Evaluate the impacts of proposed engineering changes on technical, quality, cost, inventory, procurement, scheduling.
• Manage approval workflows and release activities ensuring all reviews and approvals are completed.
• Develop and execute implementation plans addressing production timing, inventory disposition, and supplier coordination.
• Support sourcing, procurement, quoting, and implementation for new and revised parts.
• Evaluate impact on production operations including schedules and material availability.
• Maintain product configuration accuracy by updating BOMs, drawings, and ERP/PLM records.
• Serve as primary resource for engineering change implementation and escalate complex issues.
• Monitor metrics and drive post-implementation improvements and training.
