Job summary

Top Echelon LLC is seeking an Engineering Change Specialist in Farmington, CT. The role focuses on governing the ECN process, ensuring changes are evaluated, approved, implemented, and documented accurately across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs, manufacturing processes, and change-control procedures, with experience in ERP/MRP and PLM systems (SAP and SmartSheet preferred).

Qualifications

• Experience with engineering change management processes and BOMs.
• Strong understanding of drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and PLM systems; SAP and SmartSheet preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple changes across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve the engineering change management process and workflows.
• Validate, prioritize, and process engineering change requests with proper documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Procurement.
• Evaluate impacts of proposed changes on cost, inventory, scheduling and compliance.
• Oversee approval workflows and release activities before changes are implemented.
• Develop implementation plans addressing production timing, inventory disposition, and supplier coordination.
• Create training materials and provide training on ECN processes and product changes.
• Monitor metrics and drive post-implementation corrective actions.
