Job summary

Ebara Elliott Energy is seeking an ES Intern at its Jeannette, PA headquarters to support rotating equipment projects within the Engineered Solutions department. The role offers hands-on experience in calculations, design reviews, and technical evaluations under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, with at least sophomore-year status, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate: major in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering (or related technical field).
  • Sophomore year of a Bachelor’s Degree completed is encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering teams with calculations, design reviews, and technical evaluations while tracking project progress through the shop floor.
  • Leverage digital metrology, reverse engineering techniques, and process optimization tools to execute assigned engineering tasks.
  • Track custom-engineered jobs through manufacturing and assembly phases to monitor project progression and align design intent with production workflows.
  • Manage critical project documentation, track customer action items, and support cross-functional teams to drive on-time project delivery.
  • Collaborate across engineering, operations, and commercial groups to streamline overall project execution and support business objectives.

Overview & Responsibilities 2027 Engineered Solutions (ES) Intern Overview

This is a support role to assist Ebara Elliott Energy (EEE) professionals in our U.S. global headquarters location in Jeannette, PA. Students will receive “hands-on\" experience in the Engineered Solutions (ES) department in the rotating equipment industry. At EEE, we design, build, refurbish and re-engineer products used by some of the largest companies in the world. EEE manufactures steam turbines, centrifugal and axial compressors, cryogenic pumps and expanders, power recovery expanders and gas expanders for use in energy markets worldwide.

All internships will consist of the following elements:

  • Individual projects to own and complete for real world hands-on experience
  • Team project and activities designed to demonstrate cooperation
  • Exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of EEE leadership including participation in company and customer meetings and job shadowing

The Engineered Solutions (ES) Intern will lead the following projects:

Preferred candidate: Major in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering (or related technical field), having completed a minimum of sophomore year of a Bachelor’s Degree. Full-time students pursuing a related Master’s Degree are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. This internship will be based at the EEE headquarters in Jeannette, PA. Candidates must be able to commute to our Jeannette, PA headquarters Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for twelve weeks.
