Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate: major in Safety Sciences or Safety Management completing minimum of sophomore year.
  • Full-time students pursuing a Safety Sciences or Safety Management Master’s Degree are encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Based at the Jeannette, PA headquarters; commuting to Jeannette required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead company-wide health and safety initiatives by tracking metrics and organizing safety forums.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, chemical inventory assessments, and compliance audits.
  • Participate in incident response and investigations; assist with root-cause analyses.
  • Update safety training curriculum and engage cross-functional committees to reinforce a strong site-wide safety culture.

Overview & Responsibilities2027 EHS InternOverviewThis is a support role to assist Ebara Elliott Energy (EEE) professionals in our U.S. global headquarters location in Jeannette, PA. Students will receive “hands-on\" experience in the EHS department in the rotating equipment industry.At EEE, we design, build, refurbish and re-engineer products used by some of the largest companies in the world. EEE manufactures steam turbines, centrifugal and axial compressors, cryogenic pumps and expanders, power recovery expanders and gas expanders for use in energy markets worldwide.All internships will consist of the following elements:Individual projects to own and complete for real world hands-on experience;Team project and activities designed to demonstrate cooperation;Exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of EEE leadership including participation in company and customer meetings and job shadowing.The EHS Intern will lead the following projects:Support company-wide health and safety initiatives by tracking operational metrics, maintaining digital incident management platforms, and organizing regular safety forums.Conduct environmental inspections, chemical inventory assessments, and compliance audits across manufacturing and operational facilities.Participate in incident response and investigations, analyze safety trends, and assist with root-cause assessments to support proactive risk mitigation.Update and facilitate safety training curriculum while engaging with cross-functional committees to reinforce a strong site-wide safety culture.Preferred candidate: Major in Safety Sciences or Safety Management completing minimum of sophomore year of a Bachelor’s Degree. Full time students pursuing a Safety Sciences or Safety Management Master’s Degree are encouraged to apply.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
