Job summary

GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, is seeking an Engineer I to join our southwest team. The role supports mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, and related civil/environmental water resources projects.

You will apply engineering principles, work with senior engineers, and contribute to practical solutions across multiple offices. The position requires a degree in a related field, EIT certification, and 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a related engineering discipline.
• EIT certification required; PE or ability to obtain within 12 months preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, or water resources preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCad Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and design activities related to stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, earthwork, landform stabilization, and related projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, design plans, and supporting documentation under guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop design concepts and collaborate with CAD staff to prepare and review drawings and plans.
• Analyze technical data (topographic, geotechnical, hydrologic, soil) to support project design.
• Identify technical challenges, evaluate solutions, and communicate recommendations to project teams.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, data collection, and construction observations as needed.
• Support project planning and development activities, including scopes, estimates, proposals, and technical documentation.
