Job summary

GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, is seeking an Engineer I to support the analysis, design, and technical documentation of mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, and related civil/environmental projects.

This role applies engineering principles to tasks and collaborates with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, technically sound solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related field.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Two or more years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, water resources, or related civil/environmental projects preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and design activities for stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, earthwork, landform stabilization.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design plans under guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop design concepts and collaborate with CAD staff to prepare and review drawings.
• Analyze technical data (topography, geotechnical, hydrologic, soils) to support project design.
• Identify challenges, evaluate solutions, and communicate recommendations.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, data collection and construction observations.
• Support project planning, including scopes, estimates, proposals, and technical docs.
