Job summary

GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, seeks an Engineer I to support mining reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, and related water resources projects. You will apply engineering principles to technical tasks and collaborate with senior engineers on multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical solutions.

The role involves analysis, design, field work, and documentation, with opportunities to contribute to scopes, estimates, and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required; PE or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, water resources, or related civil/environmental engineering projects preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and design activities for stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, earthwork, and landform stabilization.
• Prepare calculations, reports, specs, design plans, and documentation under supervision.
• Develop design concepts and review drawings with CAD staff.
• Analyze data to support project design and engineering solutions.
• Identify challenges, evaluate solutions, and communicate recommendations.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, data collection and construction observations.
• Support planning activities, including scopes, estimates, proposals, and technical docs.
