Job summary

Holt CAT in Irving, Texas, is seeking a Shop Service Technician 3 - Engine to tear down, inspect, and repair diesel and natural gas engines in a shop environment.

You will work as part of a team on engine projects, read manufacturer specs, perform disassembly and reassembly, operate hand and pneumatic tools, and ensure safety and quality in every job. Travel may be required for training.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related work experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical diesel schooling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble complex repairs per manufacturer specs.
• Inspect and test run diesel or natural gas engines in shop.
• Prepare parts orders and manage parts returns.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and adheres to safety policies.
• Complete jobs with accurate documentation and estimates.
• Work overtime as needed to meet customer demands.
