Job summary

Holt CAT is seeking a qualified Engine Technician - Shop in Irving, Texas. This full-time, first-shift role focuses on teardown, inspection, and repair of diesel and natural gas engines in a shop setting.

Responsibilities include disassembly/assembly to manufacturer specs, troubleshooting, parts ordering, and documenting repairs. Strong mechanical skills and ability to work safely are required; some travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel or natural gas engine repair experience.
• Read/use schematics and diagrams; preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Disassembles/assembles components to manufacturer specs using tools.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains engines and components.
• Maintains shop cleanliness and safety; works with customers and management.
• Completes repairs documentation in a timely manner.
• Mentors other technicians and supports training.
