Job summary

HOLT CAT in Longview, TX, is seeking an Engine Shop Service Technician in the PSD location to perform inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of diesel-powered or natural gas engines and related components. You will work independently or with a team, following established procedures to satisfy customer needs and department goals.

Mid-level role with 4+ years of relevant experience; requires familiarity with CAT ET and CAT SIS, and ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of diesel or natural gas engines experience.
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses industrial diesel and natural gas engines.
• Disassembles and reassembles components to manufacturer specifications using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Rebuilds, repairs, and maintains equipment and components.
• Mentors and helps train other technicians.
• Completes all documents associated with repairs in a timely manner.
