Job summary

CAT is seeking a Service Manager to oversee daily operations of the service department in Midland, TX. You will steer staff performance, budgeting, and safety initiatives while upholding Contamination Control standards and driving operational efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with several years of related experience, along with a valid driver’s license and strong MS Office skills. You will collaborate across teams to meet profitability and customer satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years’ experience or five (5) years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Budgeting and cost/revenue projections knowledge and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools: Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of the service department.
• Coach staff and manage resources to achieve company goals in employee and customer satisfaction, market share, and profitability.
• Responsible for annual budgeting process for the service department.
• Responsible for Contamination Control standards in the service department.
• Leading all safety initiatives and accountable for safety performance in the service department.
• Confers with subordinate supervisory personnel and reviews staff reports to obtain data and projected completion dates.
• Maintains accurate schedules and up-to-date communication for all Service work.
• Manages Work In Process and KPIs for work orders, processes, and personnel; meets performance goals.
• Manages Career Path and Learning Plans for departmental staff.
• Participates in on-call rotation for the service department.
