Transdev in Midland, TX is seeking a Light Duty Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain engines across various vehicles. You will perform routine maintenance and lead diagnostic tests to identify issues and plan comprehensive repairs.

The role requires 2+ years as a mechanic, familiarity with Dodge, Chevy, and Ford engines, and preferred CDL and ASE credentials. Benefits include paid time off, 401(k), insurance, and ASE testing support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a mechanic.
• Experience with Dodge, Chevrolet (Chevy), and Ford engines.
• CDL license preferred; ASE certifications preferred; ASE program provided.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose engine issues using diagnostics tests.
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with team to ensure accurate repairs.
• Complete PMs, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
• Lead diagnostics to identify complex engine issues and plan repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair engines, including overhauling components.
• Mentor junior technicians and share knowledge.
