Job summary

Transdev North America, Inc. in Midway, GA is seeking an experienced Light Duty Technician to diagnose and repair commercial vehicles and equipment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and timely, quality repairs with strong communication to customers and team members.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least 3 years of automotive repair experience, PM scheduling, and a valid tool set. DOT drug testing and pre-employment screen are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years direct automotive repair experience.
• Experience monitoring and meeting PM schedules and operating shop equipment.
• Must have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Subject to DOT physical and DOT drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle repairs.
• Remove, clean, repair, reinstall, and adjust components.
• Engine repair and diagnosis; emissions components; driveline; electrical systems.
• Brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, hydraulics, cab/chassis.
• Use scan tools and ensure work orders are completed accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Participate in safety and training programs.
