Job summary

Allure HCS in Sterling, IL is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the activities program in a memory care setting. This part-time role runs 9:00–4:30 with every other weekend 8:30–3:30, under the direction of the Activities Director.

You will assist with individual and group activities, document interactions in assessment and progress notes, and help plan evening and weekend events for residents who cannot leave their rooms.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Completes assignments timely, completely and accurately.
• Experience with activities in Memory Care Unit preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director in implementing programs of individual and group activities.
• Document all interaction with resident and/or family in the assessment, care plan and progress notes as required by federal and state requirements.
• Assist Activity Director in planning and implementing evening and weekend functions as necessary.
• Assist in scheduling and implementing room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms.
• Maintain records of participation in activities and resident response or lack of response to activities.
