Villas of Holly Brook and Reflections Memory Care in Charleston, IL, is seeking an Activities Assistant for full-time work 30 to 40 hours weekly. The role involves leading and delivering engaging recreational programs for residents, with supervision and a focus on participation and well-being.

Responsibilities include planning events, welcoming new residents, maintaining activity schedules, and assisting with parties and decorations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned activity programs.
• Offers adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents with supervision.
• Develops programs for residents including for those confined to rooms.
• Engages and motivates residents to participate.
• Informs residents of upcoming activities and maintains schedule.
• Greets new residents and includes them in activities and introduces them to others.
• Assists in planning parties and activities and decorating the community per season/holiday; plans monthly birthday parties.
• Supports census-building initiatives.
• Maintains records of activities and participation as required by state law.
• May drive company vehicle from community to destinations (if required).
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
