Job summary

Allure Healthcare Services is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in implementing resident-centered programs in a Memory Care Unit. This part-time role runs 9:00 AM–4:30 PM with alternating weekends, and pays from $15.00 per hour.

You will document resident interactions, help plan evening and weekend activities, and maintain materials for programs. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, follow-through on instructions, and respect for resident rights.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Completes assignments timely, completely and accurately.
• Experience with activities in a Memory Care Unit preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director in implementing programs of individual and group activities based on residents’ needs.
• Document all interaction with resident and/or family in the assessment, care plan and progress notes as required by federal and state requirements.
• Assist Activity Director in planning and implementing evening and weekend functions as necessary.
• Assist in scheduling and implementing room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms.
• Maintain records of participation in activities and resident response or lack of response to activities.
• Prepare materials and equipment for activities and maintain an adequate supply of materials to implement programs and report to Director.
• Deliver personal mail to residents; read upon request or as appropriate.
• Interact with residents in accordance with resident’s rights and other regulations and facility policies.
• Observe infection control procedures related to the Activity Program.
