The Opportunity

A fast-growing technology organization is expanding a new enterprise financial platform designed specifically for the real estate sector.

As adoption continues to grow, the business is building out its implementation function and is looking for an Engagement Lead to take ownership of complex customer deployments.

This position sits at the intersection of accounting, ERP implementation, client engagement, and technology. You will work directly with senior Finance stakeholders to understand their existing accounting environment, design future-state processes, configure the platform, and manage customers through implementation and into successful live operations.

The platform is still evolving, making this an opportunity to do more than simply follow an established implementation methodology. You will help determine how implementations should be delivered, establish best practices, and build repeatable processes as the customer base scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Customer Implementations End-to-End
• Manage multiple customer implementations simultaneously, from initial handover and discovery through go-live and post-launch stabilization.
• Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the accounting implementation.
• Build trusted relationships with Controllers, CFOs, Accounting leaders, and other senior Finance stakeholders.
• Establish implementation plans, priorities, requirements, and key decision points.
• Ensure customers are operationally ready before transitioning into a live environment.
• Continue supporting customers through the initial post-launch/hypercare period before transitioning ownership.

Lead Accounting Discovery & Solution Design

• Run detailed discovery sessions to understand existing accounting processes, systems, pain points, and requirements.
• Map current-state processes and help customers establish improved future-state workflows.
• Advise customers on areas including:
• General Ledger structure
• Chart of Accounts
• Bank account setup
• AP and payment processes
• Charge codes
• Entity structures
• Reconciliations
• Month-end close
• Translate complex or unclear accounting requirements into practical system configurations and implementation decisions.

Configure & Implement the Platform

• Take hands-on ownership of accounting-related system configuration.
• Configure and validate areas such as:
• Chart of Accounts
• Legal/business entities
• Work closely with customers to collect and validate financial and operational data.
• Review customer data for accuracy and identify inconsistencies, missing information, or structural issues before migration.
• Coordinate closely with internal Product, Engineering, and Customer teams throughout implementation.
• Prepare customers for data migration and system cutover.
• Own accounting readiness ahead of go-live.
• Support reconciliation and validation of migrated financial information.
• Help establish effective accounting processes within the new environment.
• Support customers through their initial close cycles following implementation.
• Troubleshoot accounting or system issues during the stabilization period.
• Ensure customers are operating accurately and independently before completing the engagement.

Training & Customer Adoption

• Deliver training sessions and workshops for Finance and Accounting teams.
• Explain new processes and system functionality to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Help customers understand not only how to use the platform, but how their accounting processes should operate within it.
• Identify adoption challenges and resolve them before they impact the success of the implementation.

Help Build the Implementation Function

• Capture lessons learned from individual implementations and turn them into repeatable processes.
• Develop templates, implementation methodologies, documentation, and best practices.
• Identify recurring customer challenges and recommend improvements.
• Provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on real-world customer implementations.
• Help establish the long-term delivery model as the platform and customer base continue to scale.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong accounting knowledge with client-facing implementation experience.

Ideally, you will have:

• Approximately 5–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• A background in accounting, finance transformation, ERP implementation, consulting, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including:
• AP / AR
• Reconciliations
• Chart of Accounts
• Month-end close
• Financial workflows
• Experience managing complex customer-facing implementations, transformation programs, or technology projects.
• Confidence working directly with senior Finance stakeholders, including Controllers and CFOs.
• Ability to understand a customer's accounting processes and translate them into system requirements.
• Comfort working hands-on with financial data, configurations, and process design.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage several implementations and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A high level of ownership and attention to detail.
• Comfort working within a fast-paced environment where products and processes are still evolving.

Candidates do not necessarily need to come from a traditional ERP consulting background. Individuals combining property accounting expertise with strong systems, implementation, and customer-facing experience are particularly relevant.
