Job summary

StevenDouglas is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting in Florida to lead daily operations for the parent and subsidiaries, including month and year-end closes. You’ll partner with executive leadership on P&L, balance sheet, and internal controls while shaping a new NetSuite ERP rollout.

You will manage a five-person team and help drive process improvements, automation, and timely reporting across a rapidly scaling organization with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 1 year in supervision.
• Strong regional public accounting background encouraged.
• CPA strongly preferred, not required.
• NetSuite experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations across parent and subsidiaries, including close.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for a multi-entity structure.
• Contribute to ERP design, testing, and rollout across divisions.
• Lead a team of five: two Senior Accountants and three Staff Accountants.
• Partner with business leaders on P&L, balance sheet, and ad hoc financial questions.
• Own accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the organization scales.
• Coordinate external audit, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
• Involve in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including AI/automation to shorten the close cycle.

You'll also get a ground floor seat on a new ERP implementation (NetSuite), with real input on design, testing, and rollout to the divisions.

What You'll Own

• Day to day management of accounting operations across the parent company and its subsidiaries, including the month end and year end close
• Review and approval of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for a multi-entity structure
• A direct hand in shaping a new ERP system, from design conversations through testing and division rollout
• Leadership of a team of five: two Senior Accountants and three Staff Accountants
• Partnership with multi-entity business leaders on P&L, balance sheet, and ad hoc financial questions
• Ownership of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the organization scales
• Coordination of external audit, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Identifying and driving process improvements, including where AI and automation can shorten the close cycle

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Strong regional public accounting backgrounds are welcome to apply
• CPA strongly preferred, not required
• NetSuite, experience is a plus given the upcoming implementation
• Comfortable moving between detailed technical work and succinct communication with senior leadership
• A genuine interest in process improvement and where AI can remove friction from accounting workflows
• Willingness to travel a few times a year to support other parts of the business
