Anne Arundel County Public Schools seeks a Specialist: Communications Engagement to assist the Chief Communications Officer and Executive Director in strategic communications. You will develop and share stories highlighting students, staff, programs, and community partnerships across multimedia channels.

You’ll work with schools and Central Office teams to create engaging content for websites, social media, newsletters, videos, and podcasts, strengthening public trust and advancing district

Qualifications

• Storytelling and writing/editing professional publications and news features.
• Understanding of media relations, engagement strategies, and student-centered planning.
• Proficiency with core social media platforms in a workplace setting.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and develop compelling stories showcasing district impact.
• Collaborate with administrators and staff to obtain timely information for stories.
• Support internship programs and develop engagement opportunities for students.
• Assist in developing communications plans and online platforms for student voice.
