Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools seeks an Academic Specialist (10 Month) to lead content/program projects aligned with the AACPS Strategic Plan. You will coordinate assessments, curriculum, and professional learning for stakeholders, ensuring fidelity to state and federal initiatives.

The role requires collaboration with internal and external offices, setting deadlines, and supporting school leaders in implementing high-quality content programs.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in education or related field required.
Four years of classroom teaching experience required.
MSDE professional educator certificate/license required or eligible.

Responsibilities

Act as a strategic and collaborative member of the program/content office.
Plan, oversee, and lead content/program projects from ideation to completion.
Support system leadership in reviewing and implementing best practices.
Collaborate with school leadership to strengthen teacher capacity.
Analyze student achievement and data to evaluate program effectiveness.
Provide professional learning on instructional best practices with equity in mind.
Coordinate system initiatives across schools and external stakeholders.
