Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field required (regionally accredited).
• 2+ years of professional experience in communications, education, or related area; project management preferred.
• Demonstrated storytelling, editing, and publication skills with strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, researches, and develops stories highlighting AACPS achievements and impact.
• Collaborates with school-based and Central Office staff to obtain information on current events and topics of interest.
• Supports the Student Intern Program with internships and media-related activities.
• Assists in developing communications plans and engagement programs emphasizing student and staff talents.
• Designs and maintains digital platforms dedicated to student voice and representation.
