Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) seeks a Specialist: Academic 10 Month to plan, oversee, and lead content/program projects from ideation through to completion, aligned with the AACPS Strategic Plan.

The role includes assessment, curriculum, data analysis, instruction, and professional learning for all stakeholders, supports the Blueprint for Maryland's Future, works with multiple departments, and requires flexible hours and travel to various schools.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in education or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of classroom teaching experience required.
• One year of PD experience for adult learners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, oversees, and leads program/content projects from ideation through completion.
• Provides professional learning for school, system, and community stakeholders.
• Analyzes student achievement data to evaluate program effectiveness and adjust resources.
• Collaborates with internal and external offices to advance initiatives.
• Coordinates planning outside of regular hours (evenings, weekends, summer).
